THE CURSE OF THE LAW

THE CURSE OF THE LAW.

Joseph Vella. 01/06/2022.

REDEEMED FROM THE CURSE OF THE LAW.

NOT TO OFFEND, BUT COMMENTING TRUTH WITH LOVE FOR THOSE WHO LOVE JESUS:

The following Scriptures are for those who love the Lord Jesus but are "under or following" the Law of Moses.

COMMENT: The following Scriptures are saying that living under "the Law of Moses" doe's not justify you but rather puts you in sin, for "no man can obey the Law". (Galatians 3:11).

Curses come from disobeying the Law. (Galatians 3:13).

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law. (Galatians 3:13-14).

COMMENT: BY FOLLOWING THE LAW YOU ARE NOT RIGHT BEFORE GOD.

"By law, there shall no flesh be justified before God". (Romans 3:20).

COMMENT; GOD SAID: "saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel" (Jeremiah 31:31-34).

That Covenant will be made Between God and Jesus, who will not break the Covenant, like the Jews did, continually.

"Remember that Jesus is the - ONLY - Sacrificial Lamb of God".

SCRIPTURES.

 The Righteous Are Bless.

Geneses 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Genesis 17:2. God's Covenant with Abraham.

Genesis 17:11. God's Blood Covenant (circumcise the flesh) with Abraham.

Numbers 24:9 He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.

Abraham's Blessings are in Deuteronomy 28:1-14

Galatians 3:10-14 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

Galatians 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

Galatians 3:12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

Galatians 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

Galatians 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

THE PROMISE OF A NEW COVENANT.

Jeremiah 31:31-32 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

Jeremiah 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:

THE LAW AND THE PROMISE.

 A MUST-READ. Galatians 3:15-29.

Romans 3:20-31 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. (Justified means innocent: - free, justify (-ier), be righteous).

 Romans 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

NOTE: Without is Adverb from G5561; at a space, that is, separately or apart from (often as preposition): - beside, by itself, without.

Romans 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

God makes all believers "righteous/Justified through their "faith" in Jesus Christ. ONLY.

 Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

NOTE: Justified means From G1342; to render (that is, show or regard as) just or innocent: - free, justify (-ier), be righteous.

Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

NOTE: (propitiation =an atoning victim) God gave Jesus as a way to forgive people's sins through their faith in him. God can forgive them because the blood sacrifice of Jesus pays for their sins.

Romans 3:26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Romans 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

NOTE: So, do we have any reason to boast about ourselves? NO, because we are depending on the way of faith, not on what we have done in following the law. (Law of Moses).

Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without (apart) the deeds of the law.

NOTE: we are made right with God through faith, - Faith in Jesus - not through what we have done to follow the law. That is The Law of Moses.

Romans 3:29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:

NOTE: referring to verse:28.

Romans 3:30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

Romans 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death  NOTE: G2222 Life is Zoe Life, which is “Life as God knows it”.

Jesus Said. Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. NOTE: Jesus came to fulfil the Law.

Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified

NOTE: No one is justified by the works of The Law.

Act 13:39 And by him (Jesus) all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. NOTE: It's by Jesus that we are Justified.

NOTE: (Justified means From G1342; to render (that is, show or regard as) just or innocent: - free, justify (-ier), be righteous).  NOTE: Everyone who has faith in Jesus is set free, and is made Righteous.

THE LAW OF MOSES COULD NOT FREE YOU FROM YOUR SINS BECAUSE THEY WERE ONLY COVERED OVERAND NOT FORGIVEN.

Hebrews 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second

NOTE: If the first Covenant was Faultless (Faultless G273 irreproachable: - blameless, faultless, unblamable). Then there would be no need for the SECOND COVENANT. Look at Jeremiah 31:31-34.

Hebrews 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Jeremiah 31:31-34 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

NOTE: God promised that He will make a New Covenant. He is referring to the future New Covenant between God and Jesus.  The Sacrificial Lamb of God, who will not break the Covenant anymore.

Jeremiah 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:

NOTE: Talking about the Covenant that God made with Abraham. God updated the Law which He gave to Moses because Israel Coming out of captivity in Egypt had almost no Law. So, God gave them the Ten Commandments and some 300 Ordinances, rights and rituals.

Jeremiah 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. NOTE: Talking about a future New Covenant.

Jeremiah 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

NOTE: THE OLD LAW HAD NO PROVISION FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SIN.
SIN WAS ONLY COVERED BY THE CONTINUAL SACRIFICES OF THE BLOOD OF ANIMALS.
BUT THE PERFECT SACRIFICE OF JESUS IS ONCE AND FOR ALL TIME.

Galatians 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

Galatians 3:25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

NOTE: The Law was only our Schoolmaster till the Perfect Sacrifice of “The Spotless Lamb of God” Jesus Christ who Paid the Price for Sin by His Perfect Blood. Untouched by the sin or rebellion of Adam in the Garden of Eden.

Galatians 3:19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

NOTE: So, what is the purpose of The Law? It was added because of sin till Jesus should come to whom the promise to Abraham's Seed that refers to one, that is Jesus Christ.

THE COVENANT THAT GOD MADE WITH ABRAHAM HAS BEEN FULFILLED BY THE NEW COVENANT BETWEEN GOD AND JESUS IS NOW IN FORCE.

WITH THE NEW COVENANT COMES GOD’S CHILDREN CRYING “ABBA FATHER” THROUGH THE NEW BIRTH AND “THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST”. WITH THE CHURCH, THE BRIDE OF CHRIST, THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST NOW WALKS THE EARTH WITH THE HOLY GHOST IMPARTING SALVATION, GIFTS AND HEALINGS TO MENKIND.

Ephesians 4:11-12. 1 Corinthians 12:1-11.

THE CURSE OF THE LAW.

This has been in my heart, why??

Because I come across people who are still - "Under the Law of Moses".  Yet, I have seen their thirst for God.

The above Scriptures are clear that God will make a New Covenant because Israel kept breaking the Law (Jeremiah 31:31-32 + Romans 3:20-31). No Man is "justified by the Law" in God's sight. (Galatians 3:11).

THIS MEANS THAT A MAN THAT IS UNDER THE LAW IS IN SIN. WHY?
BECAUSE UNDER THE LAW THERE WAS NO FORGIVENESS OF SIN.
SIN WAS ONLY COVERED OVER BY THE SPILT BLOOD OF ANIMALS.

ALSO, BEING UNDER THE LAW MEANS THAT ONE MUST OBEY ALL THE LAWS. TO BREAK ONE OF THE LAWS IS TO BE FOUND GUILTY OF BREAKING THEM ALL. THAT IS – THE TEN COMMANDMENTS - AND MORE THAN SOME 300 OTHERS - THE RITUALS - THE ORDINANCES - OFFERINGS FOR SIN – THE CLEANSING LAWS - THE EATING LAWS OF CLEAN AND UNCLEAN ANIMALS.

NO ONE WITH A GENUINE HEART CAN DISPUTE THE GREAT NUMBER OF SCRIPTURES THAT TELLS YOU WHAT HAPPENS WHEN ONE IS STILL UNDER THE LAW.

THE OLD COVENANT THAT GOD MADE WITH ABRAHAM WAS “FREE” FROM THE LAW OF MOSES.
THE LAW CAME SOME 430 YEARS LATER THROUGH MOSES BECAUSE ISRAEL KEPT BREAKING THE COVENANT.
SO, ABRAHAMS COVENANT WAS FREE FROM THE LAW OF MOSES.
JESUS LIKEWISE SET US FREE FROM THE LAW BY FULFILLING ABRAHAM’S COVENANT.

THAT A NEW COVENANT IS NOW IN FORCE. THAT COVENANT IS BETWEEN GOD AND JESUS WHO IS THE SACRIFICIAL LAMB OF GOD WHO DIED ONCE AND FOR ALL. JESUS WLL NEVER BREAK THE COVENANT, AMEN. My Love in Christ Jesus.
